FAIRBANKS (ALASKA)

FAIRBANKS (ALASKA)

Have you ever thought about going on a holiday in Alaska? No? It’s time you think about it! Alaska has a lot to offer to tourists throughout the entire year!

Fairbanks is the second largest city in Alaska, known for dog mushing, northern lights and extreme weather conditions. Fairbanks has to experience cold temperatures in winter and warm temperatures in summer. In summer, you can enjoy more than 22 hours of daylight. Fairbanks used to be the place to be for miners and gold diggers and is also called “The Golden Heart of Alaska”. Fairbanks is one of the best areas in Alaska to witness the northern light, which can be seen many nights from September until the beginning of April.
Tourists have a lot of activities to choose from including shopping, rafting or kayaking, golfing, fishing, etc. In winter, you can go skiing, snowmobiling, watching the northern light, etc.
The Chena River State Recreation Area is worth a visit to see a moose or to canoe or kayak. You can go to the Chena Hot Springs Resort to relax in the hot springs pools.
Fairbanks and its beautiful surroundings are certainly worth a visit during summer and winter.
