After you have watched the introduction movie there is a vocabulary section which can help you in the future. Go to page "Accomodation & Transport". 

Read the brochures and the vocabulary list and do the exercises you can find in your booklet. Make sure your name is at the top of the page when you give it to your teacher.

 

If you want to go on a holiday, you will need a lot of information. The perfect place to get that information is the travel agency. When you visit page"At the travel agency", you will find a listening comprehension and a listening exercise. Listen carefully to the conversations and answer the questions you can find in your booklet. 

 

After you have finished the listening comprehension, the real work starts. If you want to book a trip, you will have to know how exactly that works. Make a dialogue in groups of two. you visit the travel agency (one pupil is the travel agent, the other pupil wants to book a trip). You can find the things you need to include in your dialogue at page "the travel agency". In your booklet there is some space to write down your dialgue. 

 

When you go on a holiday you need something to keep you busy, things to do or see. Learn more about the activities you can do on a holiday at the "Where to go" page.

 

Before booking a trip you need to know if your destination, hotel, restaurants, etc. are good enough. The best way to find out more about those things is reading reviews. There are several websites where you can find reviews, one is "Tripadvisor". 

 

The next step is gathering information about your holiday destination. We have seen one way to do this (Going to the travel agency), but there are other ways to do this as well. Another way is reading brochures. Your teacher will devide you in groups and give you a destination. Then you will have to get information out of your brochure. Go to page "Holiday brochures" and follow further instructions. 

 

To make sure you all know how to book a trip and to gather information about your destination, we are going to let you prepare a role play. Further instructions you can find at the "Roleplay" page.

 

At this point you and your group should have gathered all the information you need to book your trip. For the next step you are to promote your own destination. This should be done by creating a Facebook page. You can find all the things that should be included in your Facebook page and your presentation at the"Facebook" page.
